The apparatus is meant to assist you in doing the exercises with proper alignment, breath and connection to your center/core or what Pilates called your “Powerhouse”. This will keep your musculature balanced and keep you from overworking your external muscles.
With its gravity-based resistance system, you use a portion of your own body weight to create resistance. You will lift, row, or press a ratio of 5% to 60% of your own body weight, depending on the level of incline you choose. As your strength improves over the course of the workout, you can add in more resistance by simply changing the angle of the board.

The Total Gym XLS is an upgrade of prior models. It has nylon strap handles that are flexible and comfortable to use, a padded glide board along with head and back support, an upgraded pulley and cable system and an upgraded squat stand.
